I heard Clara and her Grandson this morning on Martha Stewart Radio. It was great! Reminded me so much of my Grandmother. I can't wait to watch the You tube episodes! Jeri Martinez
Clara, I just got done reading your cookbook that i got for Christmas. I have been waiting for it for a long time. I enjoyed it so much. You really inspire me to not focus on the negative and to see age only as a number. The world needs more great ladies like you to have a platform to speak wisdom to this world. Luv you Clara!!!
In general, depression is caused by a mixture of ‘pressure’ or ‘strain’, which can be mild or severe, combined with a vulnerability or predisposition to depression, which, too, can range from mild to severe. For psychotic or melancholic depression, physical and biological factors are generally more relevant. By contrast, for non?melancholic depression, the role of personality and stressful life events are generally far more relevant.
Clara is a 94 year old cook and Great Grandmother. She is 100% Sicilian-American and grew up in a Chicago suburb, Melrose Park. She survived the Great Depression and claims to have actually gained weight during America's worst state of financial despair. How did she accomplish this? Check out her cooking show and discover her secret!
