  4. Is there any doubt why books titled ‘The Greatest Generation’ include the spirit and experiences of Ms. Clara? How fortuitous that the internet and a teacher of past lifestyles happen to intersect! Most of this genre is modest about their collective abilities to sustain a family while engaging in the day to day activities which I would characterize as ‘saving the world’ (WWII). Keep up your appearances and lessons Ms. Clara.

  6. These are wonderful My grandparents were Italian immigrants who lived in Chicago. Their stories about the Depression always fascinated me. Sadly, they are gone, but I found Clara! A voice that carries wisdom, common sense and humility. She has brought me joy and some great eating ideas!

  7. Thanks for sharing with us, Clara. You are an amazing woman. I worte and suggested a long time ago when I saw your second video that you might want to have a cookbook. I am so happy to see you are doing just that.
Don't suppose you woould like to share a little gardening and sewing ideas, from the depression?
